Droppings from the Nest, August 19th
Well, Spokane returned the favor last night–beating the Hawks 6-1. It was a pretty uneventful game for the Hawks besides DJ Fitzgerald’s homer…his second of the season.
So without further ado, let’s get to those droppings:
- The Idaho Press-Tribune notes how the Indians evened the series against the Hawks last night.
- The Idaho Statesman looks at the end of Boise’s 4-game winning streak in a recap of last night’s game.
- Former Hawk, Brett Jackson is featured on InsidetheIvy.com…unfortunately you have to have a subscription to read the entire article, but hey their coverage is worth it.
- I’ve added a couple more articles to the homepage: an interesting look at the diets of international players and then a piece about the origin of the Hawks theme song.
Tonight should be a fairly busy night at the ballpark. Not only is it our Family Feast Night featuring $1 popcorn, ice cream sandwiches, hot dogs and sno cones, local boy Braden Tullis (out of Timberline HS) is the starting pitcher for Spokane. We have already sold out of our 1B Res section, so it you want tickets run down the the box office fast!
