Droppings from the Nest, June 30th
NOTE: Tonight’s game against Yakima will start at 6:30 p.m.
Hawks won their second-straight in victory against Yakima last night! Greg Rohan hit a walk-off RBI single to win the game, 3-2, in the 10th. It was so great to see all of the players rush the field and swarm around Manager Casey Kopitzke, who is 2-0 since re-joining the team.
So because of that awesome news, there are bound to be some good droppings today!

- Of course the Idaho Statesman had a story about last night’s extra-inning rally, but Chris Langrill also addresses the Hawks’ slow start and how that doesn’t determine success one way or the other.
- The Idaho Press-Tribune’s Trent Lootens covers the Hawks’ second-straight win plus “An Inning With…” pitcher Miguel Sierra.
- Check out Channel 2’s footage of last night’s win over Yakima.
- Channel 7 wraps up last night’s thriller.
- Hawks pitcher Danny Keefe (right) gets a mention at tampabay.com as he is one of three University of Tampa players to sign with MLB teams.
